With more than 250 independent retailers selling fashion, jewellery, gifts, art, homeware, Christmas decorations and so much more, plus a Food Hall filled with award winning, small batch, artisanal food and drink, Wealden Times Midwinter Fair is the pop-up shopping event of the season. If you haven’t been before, you’re in for a treat.
The thousands of visitors who return every year say that they love meeting and buying directly from the makers and designers who’ve put their heart and soul into creating their products, or who have travelled the world to source what they sell. You’ll discover unique ranges that you won’t see on the High Street. Whilst the Food Hall is where you’ll find presents for those who say that they don’t ‘need’ anything, but who still enjoy the finer things in life: award winning gin, artisan chocolate or even Dolce & Gabbana panettone. Walk slowly around this marquee and sample everything!
Others say that they love the street food vendors serving delicious lunches and morning coffee, in two of the seven interlinked, heated marquees.
But above everything else, the Midwinter Fair is the best excuse for a day out with your mum, daughter or your friends. Well behaved husbands and partners are welcome too! Shopping with those who know you best also ensures that you’ll get a Christmas present that you’ll love, as well as a lasting memory of when you discovered it together.
With free parking, incredibly helpful staff (ask their team in pink anything – they’ll even carry your purchases to your car) and delightful school choirs singing festive songs, the Midwinter Fair is a day out not to be missed.
