The Highway Code states, “Before you set off you must be able to see, so clear all snow and ice from all your windows.”
Here are some tips to make this easier:
• Use a windscreen shield or old sheet to cover the windscreen and windows to prevent snow falling on the glass.
• Check wiper blades aren’t damaged. Prevent them freezing to the windscreen by placing a piece of cardboard between each blade and the glass.
