The Wateringbury History Society September Events
Wednesday 17th September – talk by Bob Ogley on Doodle Bugs and Rockets in Wateringbury Village Hall. Talk at 8pm, free tea or coffee from 7.40pm. Members free visitors £7 (cash please).
To mark the 80th Anniversary of the end of WW2 the History Society is organising 2 free events.
Saturday 20th September – Heritage and WW2 Displays in Wateringbury church, Tonbridge Road 10.30am-4pm. The Parish Registers of Baptisms and Marriages will also be on display. Tea, Coffee and Cake will be available.
Sunday 21st September – Terry Bird is leading a History Walk around the village with an emphasis on the Blue Plaques and WW2. Meet in the garden of The Beck (junction of Mill Lane and Tonbridge Road) at 2.30pm. The walk will be approximately 2 hours. Booking is essential as number of walkers needs to be restricted.
