CAHM at The Nuttery
Tucked away in the village of Ryarsh, CAHM at The Nuttery is a lovely place to pause for a relaxed coffee, a slice of cake or a light lunch.
The café is now under the new ownership of Lisa Robinson, and its name stands for Coffee and Holistic Moments, which neatly reflects its calm and welcoming atmosphere.
A small group of us visited recently and were fortunate to sit beneath the shaded gazebo. It was wonderfully peaceful and provided a comfortable retreat from the summer sunshine, as well as an unhurried setting in which to chat and catch up.
The café serves a selection of hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes and freshly prepared food. I enjoyed a delicious spiced apple and cinnamon cake, and my friends a Victoria sponge, vegetarian panini and a blueberry cake. For those wanting something more substantial without committing to a heavy lunch, sausage rolls and other savoury goods are available. It was great to relax and enjoy a chilled lunch with friends at the end of a busy week.
There is more to The Nuttery than its café. Visitors can also discover wellbeing treatments and activities, while the Shepherd’s Hut farm shop stocks local produce and artisan favourites.
CAHM at The Nuttery is a peaceful local find and well worth discovering, particularly if you enjoy somewhere a little different from the usual high-street café.
The café is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 9.30am to 4pm, at The Nuttery, Chapel Street, Ryarsh ME19 5LW.
