Two local literary festivals will be taking place in September and October
Sevenoaks Literary Festival – 25th September to 4th October
Founded in 2001, Sevenoaks Literary Festival aims to create engaging events for and in the heart of the community. Speakers for 2026 include Gyles Brandreth, Lady Anne Glenconner, Caroline Quentin, Prue Leith, and Writers’ Workshop with Tasmina Perry.

Maidstone LitFest – 1st to 11th October
Maidstone’s Literary festival is back for its 4th year, across venues in and around the town. Speakers include, broadcaster Sian Williams in conversation with Iain Dale, and Saturday Kitchen’s Helen McGinn.

Kids LitFest will take place on Sunday 4th October at Invicta Grammar School.
